Me again, well I've booked the hotel for 10th Oct and to be the honest the 11th as well as I'm sure I'll be struggling after the race. I have been on the treadmill today and did a 2mile run in 17 mins, not bad for me. Another positive for the week, I'm slimmer of the week!!! Lost 3lbs this week, so carry on like this and I'll be a shadow of myself come race day.
Got a busy weekend ahead as its my birthday on Mon so will be away over the weekend, perhaps having a few small sweet sherries!!! Need to get one big run in over the weekend, aiming again for a 3 miler.

Well this is the first blog you will have seen from me, where do I start............I am now two weeks into my training for the http://royalparkshalf.com/ I decided after running the 10k for local fantastic charity Hug in a Bag I was going to try and push myself even further, wow half marathon is somewhat more than I imagined, but this is hopefully going to help towards securing the one and only London Marathon place running for http://www.thesilverline.org.uk/
So how has the training been going on???? Well had been concentrating most of my running on the treadmill, whilst running the 10k realised that I needed to get back to basics and get out on the road, so I started on 21 June and managed one mile, certainly didn't kill me but made me realise I've got a long way to go to get race ready. By the way the half marathon is on the 11 Oct 2015!!!!! get that date in your diary, and if you want you can download an app to track me on the day - exciting eh?
So we have to skip 10 days or so and today I have been this morning 06.25am to be precise, doing the Poulton run, its approx. 3.3 miles, and was hoping to crack that today, the most up to date I have run is 2 miles, so its was a big jump but felt ok with how I managed. Stopped twice to catch my breath, but did the run in 40 mins. New goal is to get round without stopping and then add more and more distance..........the run in Oct is 4 times what I di today and that actually is scaring me!!
